If you’re living in Australia, you might have already stumbled upon this fearless and unabashed model who has a deep fascination for tattoos, piercings, and sunflowers. From gracing the covers of Carbon BW Magazine to Babe Watch Magazine to FreshCober Magazine in less than a year, you know she will go a long way in this industry. This is none other than Charlotte @Modelled.By.Charlotte

Similar to how we come across our now LECHERY ladies, we discovered Charlotte through Instagram and we couldn’t be more happier that we connected with her.

Seen mostly in lingerie, hosiery, and garter-belts, you know this woman has a passion for the very same things we do. Charlotte is a fairly new comer when it comes to modeling. She started modeling for fun in October of last year with a friend of hers. Boudoir modeling was something she was doing only as an experiment and leisure. It was only when she saw her engagement on Instagram growing and photographers contacting her she decided to become more serious about it.

Fast forward to the end of September of 2020, this woman has been published in multiple magazines, improved her self-confidence tremendously, and is now hoping to do modelling as a full-time career.

Thanks to her passion for lingerie and hosiery, Charlotte knows what it means to feel empowered, confident, and sensual. Lingerie and hosiery, Charlotte describes, “an empowerment that would make me feel on top of the world.”

Interview with the elegant, tattooed, and stunning boudoir published model @Modelled.By.Charlotte

LECHERY: First of all, thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to interview you! It is such a pleasure to have you here with us (virtually) of course haha! Let’s first start off by telling us a little bit more about yourself. What do you do?

CHARLOTTE: A little about myself, I started modelling for fun in October 2019 with a friend of mine. I did a lot of boudoir style modelling, but I was always experimenting. I started to enjoy the empowerment of boudoir modelling and my self-confidence grew, so I was like why not do it a bit more seriously and the attention grew on my Instagram and photographers started to contact me for photoshoots. It’s been hard to balance life with modelling at this current time, due to working full time, but due to Covid 19 my work hours have decreased, meaning I have more time for modelling, so hopefully in the near future I am able to do modelling as my income.

LECHERY: We see that you're into hosiery and lingerie, what got you into posting hosiery and lingerie? Tell us more about it.

CHARLOTTE: What got me into lingerie… well, about 3 years ago, when our local shopping centre Honey Birdette opened up, I went in for a look and I never looked back. At the time Honey Birdette was the only place I could buy lingerie that would fit me as I have large busts. Since then, it’s been an empowerment with lingerie, I feel on top of the world when I wear lingerie and do photoshoots in lingerie.

LECHERY: What does lingerie mean to you? Does it give you confidence? Or is it just something you wear to give an added extra sex appeal? How do you feel when wearing lingerie?

CHARLOTTE: Lingerie means a lot to me. It’s funny because my friends know me for my lingerie and my vast style when wearing it. I wear parts of my lingerie as outerwear as I believe it shouldn’t be all kept to the bedroom. There is a lot of effort, time and money that goes into making these products for women. Why not incorporate it into your everyday wear?

LECHERY: What is the perfect set of lingerie for you?

CHARLOTTE: For me a perfect set of lingerie is something that I can wear every day, without over spill but is still sexy, gorgeous and empowering in style. This is surprisingly hard for myself as I do have large busts. I either find something so gorgeous and empowering but is very impractical and is only usable for a once off wear or I am able to find something that’s super comfy but is a boring basic material and isn’t flattering to the eye. I would love to be able to find a company that does both. I know there are numerous companies that cater to plus size ladies, but there are very limited companies that cater for ladies that are a 12 band with H or larger cups.

LECHERY: As wearing hosiery and lingerie can be seen by the wider-community to be vulgar, how do you react to the negativity?

CHARLOTTE: I have continuously had to deal with negative comments when it comes to modelling in lingerie, surprisingly most of it comes from people who are close to me, such as family. If I had listened to the comments and stopped wearing lingerie in photoshoots, I would not be published in numerous magazines. I would not have made it this far in such a short period of time without my lingerie and my love for lingerie. I think for myself, the more negative comments I receive, the more it pushes me to wear my lingerie as outerwear and in photoshoots.

LECHERY: We live in a very double standard society, when a man is topless, it is normalized and accepted, but for a woman, she’s hypersexualized and stigmatized. As women, how do you think we should combat this?

CHARLOTTE: I personally don’t think we will ever see over sexualisation of women extinguished. I think this stigma will always be around. It doesn’t help that forums like Tumblr use to not have a nudity policy and have now put one in place. Other forums like Only Fans, I think is a great platform but people have this stigma that it is only for sex workers. I think there needs to be a forum that accepts nudity, accepts people expressing themselves on lingerie whether it's male or female.

LECHERY: What do you hope to find in the hosiery and lingerie industry in the future?

CHARLOTTE: I hope to find more diversity in the lingerie industry. It has definitely progressed in the last 10 years, but I believe there is still a long way to go. There is lingerie for petite ladies, there is lingerie for plus size ladies but there isn’t much in the middle. I struggle to find lingerie for myself that fits perfectly as I am a part of the “standard clothing size” with the bands, but with cup sizes, it is hard to find something that fits as I have large busts. I can find something that almost fits, but it will be a demi cup, so I will always spill out as soon as I move. I would love for more garter belts with leg straps but I struggle to find anything that fits correctly or that is comfortable. As I have a smaller waist but have thick legs, and I always find that the leg strap around the legs are way too tight and don’t look flattering. If I get a garter belt that fits my legs, it is way too loose on my waist.  I wish there was more diversity with sizing.

LECHERY: What is one thing you would always wear that would make you feel much more confident and sexy? What is your advice to other women who struggle with confidence and body-image?

CHARLOTTE: I would wear a garter belt with leg straps all the time over a pair of jeans or under a mini skirt. It adds another dimension to what you are wearing. Also buying diverse garter belts that have detachable straps is a great way to spice up your outerwear and give you some more shape and makes you feel sexy.

If you struggle with body confidence, one of the best things you could do is go out, buy a really nice set of lingerie, stockings, high heels, even get your makeup and hair professionally done and have a boudoir photoshoot done. It will empower you and will show you how much of a beautiful person you are. Even if you have stretch marks, or a scar, or a birthmark, it will show you those things don’t matter. I have stretch marks and I am learning to love them. I have scars, they tell a story. You are beautiful even if you don’t see it.

LECHERY: Describe lingerie to you in three words:

CHARLOTTE: Fun, empowering and confidence

LECHERY: It is a really tough time in today's world with the whole COVID-19 pandemic going on, what have you been doing to keep yourself busy and healthy?

CHARLOTTE: With everything that’s happened with Covid 19, I have had to be extra cautious as I have a brother that has a disability with a low immune system. I started working from home in late March (this is when it became quite serious in Australia) and have been working from home since. I speak to my friends as much as possible about anything other than Covid 19. I also ensure that my mental health is being looked after by seeing my therapist more regularly. I was able to organise numerous photoshoots for post Covid 19. I have also been able to focus on taking my modelling career more seriously and creating portfolios as I’ve had more time on my hands with losing work hours. So over with Covid 19, it has worked in my favour with my modelling career.
