Doriana is an incredible woman who has been a devoted full-time mom for the past 8 years. Along with being such an amazing mom, Doriana is also a plus-size lingerie model and entrepreneur. We came across Doriana’s account as we were in awe by her content. Continue reading to learn more about this wonderful woman!

Interview with the lovely and gorgeous @thick_and_curly

LECHERY: First of all, thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to interview you! It is such a pleasure to have you here with us (virtually) of course haha! Let’s first start off by telling us a little bit more about yourself. What do you do?

DORIANA: Thank you very much for giving me this opportunity to express myself. And thank you for encouraging us women to speak up! I'm a full-time mom for 8 years, I'm also a plus-size lingerie model and Entrepreneur.

LECHERY: We see that you're into fashion and lingerie, what got you into posting fashion and lingerie? Is that your way of practicing self-care? Tell us more about it.

DORIANA: Initially, I started my journey in 2013. I was very obsessed about losing weight after becoming a mom. To be honest, I was continuously at war with myself. Since I was a teenager I hated my body. I had this wrong notion that if I will lose weight I will begin to love myself and all my insecurities will just disappear forever. But I was wrong! So wrong! I realised that even after losing a lot of weight, I was still unhappy with how my body looked. A couple of years later I had a very serious health issue which affected my ability to walk. I thought I would never be able to walk again and enjoy the things I loved to do. Since then, I have promised myself that if I will be able to walk again, I will never talk bad about myself.

LECHERY: What does lingerie mean to you? Does it give you confidence? Or is it just something you wear to give an added extra sex appeal? How do you feel when wearing lingerie?

DORIANA: Lingerie for me is everything! :) And I mean it. As a woman, I was always ashamed of loving lingerie. Maybe because I never saw a model that looked just like me on T.V. or on magazines. I always thought that only women who have perfect bodies should wear lingerie. Now I understand that lingerie has very much to do with your sexuality. We as women tend to hide our sexuality because we are afraid to be judged. But deep down every woman wants to feel sexy with confidence no matter how she looks. This is a right that no one should take away from you. Claim it back!

LECHERY: What is the perfect set of lingerie for you? And which brands would you recommend?

DORIANA: I am definitely in love with teddies and corsets. I am plus-size with a wide waist, that's why corsets and teddies are the best options for me. As a brand, I would recommend @curvykate for their super comfy bras and @annsummer and @fashionnova for their wide range of sizes, costumes, teddies and wonderful sets.

LECHERY: What is a bad experience you've had with a lingerie set? And what brands would you avoid buying from?

DORIANA: Being a plus-size, going shopping was always a bad experience. I would say that I don't recommend brands that don't include diversity in their campaigns. I don't recommend brands that don't offer a wide range of sizes. Unfortunately, the beauty/fashion industry is still exclusive and we need to change this. We need representation. We need to see more confident women.

LECHERY: What is your main advice to women who struggle with confidence and body image?

DORIANA: My advice is that self-care and self-love take time! I still have days when I struggle with confidence, and it's completely fine. You will have bad days and good days. What is not fine is to compare your bad days with someone's good days. Don't let society's standards make you feel unworthy. Lastly, don't let anyone make you feel guilty or ashamed if you want to practice self-care in your way.

LECHERY: What do you hope to find in the lingerie industry in the future?

DORIANA: Representation! Cellulite! Stretch marks! And bigger sizes!

LECHERY: What is one lingerie piece that every girl should have in their closet?

DORIANA: I have only 2 words for this. Black lace! :)

LECHERY: What is one thing you would always wear that would make you feel much more confident and sexy?

DORIANA: Stockings every day, all day!

LECHERY: Describe lingerie to you in three words:

DORIANA: Sexuality, Confidence, Worthiness.
